Ryo Murakami
An award-winning cinematographer and native of rural Japan, Ryo Murakami has developed a unique and compelling visual style stemming from his training in still photography and through his work on hundreds
of features, shorts, music videos and documentaries over the past decade. Murakami was the Director of Photography for the feature length documentary film RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008. Other recent projects include the acclaimed personal documentary UNEARTH, airing on French & American television and BUTTONS, a favorite at the Brooklyn International Film Festival. His recent music video THROWIN’ SHAPES was selected most viewed favorite on MTVu.com. He also contributed to the United Nations – World Health Organization collaborative documentary series, WISDOM YEARS which is scheduled to broadcast in more than 40 countries. Murakami is a graduate of Brooklyn College’s film program. Murakami currently resides in Brooklyn, New York where he working on his directorial debut IN THE DARK.
Kijung Park
Kijung Park began her intensive film study as a regular seminar member Study Division2 in Cinematheque Seoul, Korea. She specialized in film theory and writing, introducing foreign art films to the general audiences. In addition, she published a book, titled “Horror Film” in 1997, Korea.
She moved to New York City to deepen her technique in film editing, animation and graphic design. Her versatile career includes designing and editing countless TV commercials, music videos, documentaries and films.
Her credits for directing/writing films include IRREGULARITY, which was selected as a best short at the NY Downtown film festival in 2004, RED DOT, MONOLOGUE and the Live concert documentary REBECA VALLEJO PROJECT.
Kijung worked as an editor for the film GOOD GIRL, which was praised in multiple film festivals and won the Best Film Award at New York’s Columbia University film festival. It also won the Audience Award/Special Jury Award at the Mis-en-scene Film Festival in Korea and was selected as a finalist of the Best Narrative Film Award at the Student Academy Awards.
She currently lives in New York City, editing feature musical film SENIORITIS.
J Mark Rogers
A former director/actor from New York and now high school theatre teacher/director (www.theatrecentreville.com), Mark Rogers has a rich history in the world of theatre. His theatre program has won many awards in the state of Virginia over the last decade and includes awards for Best Musical, Best Play, Best Actor and Best Actress from the Cappies Award Program (www.cappies.com). Before coming to Centreville High School, Mr. Rogers worked as a director, teacher and actor across the United States. He has performed in 44 of the 50 United States and his television credits include the soap operas Another World, All my Children and the Emmy Award winning television show Homicide; Life on the street. INVISIBLE MAN is his directorial debut in the world of film. Mr. Rogers lives outside of the nation’s capital in Leesburg, VA where he is finishing his most recent project, the new musical film SENIORITIS (www.senioritismusical.com).
